After the first round, Phill Werz and defending champion, Trent Bouts were just one stroke apart but Werz went crazy in the final round shooting a stellar 78.

The best event story came from Mike Whitaker who boasted the only "negative yards" tee shot. It started out great, smashing his tee shot well over 200 yards into the steep uphill but then the ball found its way to the cart path. By the time it stopped rolling BACK DOWN THE HILL, the ball was behind him.

Rock Barn has two beautiful golf courses. Pretty to look at but devilish to play. We were all contending with US Open rough. Honorary mention goes to Doug Stephens and Howard Ward who both had a 15 shot improvement over day one. They must have found the fairway a lot more times than the rest of us!
