Al Arrigoni, Tee Time with Al Arrigoni (ATMC TV 3)

The First Tee of Brunswick County

"I was told I had a great face for radio, so they gave me a TV show!"

In December of 2009, Al approached the local Cable provider, who has their own channel, if they would be interested in a golf television show and they accepted.

The monthly show highlights area courses along with their Director of Golf or Head Professional.  The show offers a variety of segments including equipment, fitness, "Fairway Fashion," Professional Tips, and a "More than a Game" segment that highlights The First Tee of Brunswick County.

Golf is Al’s second-career that started in 1999 in Vass, NC with a family owned Par-3 course.  While there, Al started a junior golf program that eventually became the inaugural The First Tee Chapter in the state.  Al  was formally inducted as a PGA professional in October of 2004.

In 2006 Al was selected as the Carolinas Section of the PGA Junior Golf Leader award winner.  Al has coached numerous youngsters in the game of golf.  He has been a middle school and high school golf coach.  Al caddied for two of his players (at separate times) at the Champions Tour Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, one of who was paired with Arnold Palmer for two days.

In February of 2009, Al was recognized as a "The First Tee Recognized Executive Director" at the Network Meeting in San Jose, CA.  In April of 2010, Al completed the necessary requirements to attain the status of "The First Tee Recognized Coach."   Al is regularly called upon to consult with other Chapters and is a volunteer faculty member for The First Tee Board and Executive Education Program.

Al and his wife Paige have been married for 17 years this coming June.  They have one daughter, Emily Ann, age 13, and a son, AJ (Al Junior) age 8.

Al graduated from High Point University in 1992.
