Bill Bauer Six years ago, Bill Bauer retired to South Carolina and began to play golf. One Sunday morning, his wife showed him an ad in the local paper looking for a golfer with writing skills to review area golf courses. Since Bill had played a few rounds here and there and had taught writing in the public schools for over 30 years, he decided to answer the advertisement.    He now writes golf/travel/adventure features for Upstate Lake Living Magazine. He also serves on the educational faculty at Clemson University.
