Elsa Bonstein, Brunswick Beacon, Golf Columnist

Elsa Bonstein has written a weekly column, Golf Gab, for the Brunswick Beacon for seven years.  She also writes other articles on assignment for the Beacon. In 2005, she shadowed a dying man and wrote a series on hospice care which won an award from Landmark Publications, the parent company of the Beacon. She also writes occasional articles for Carolina Green magazine. 

Elsa is a graduate of Syracuse University and was a freelance writer in New Jersey before moving to Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina . She wrote regularly for the Asbury Park Press in central New Jersey and for New Jersey Living magazine. She is currently re-writing her mystery novel, Footes Creek, a thriller that takes place at an old prestigious course in New Jersey.  She hopes to publish it in 2010. 

Elsa is a founding board member of The First Tee of Brunswick County and heads up the public relations team for the organization which services several hundred youth in regular programming and over 6,000 elementary school students through its National School Program and School Day Programming.
